The CAEE or Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre is located in one of the most historic buildings of the parish of Escaldes-Engordany, in Andorra.
This construction was built between 1932 and 1934 by the monks of Montserrat commanded by the Catalonian architect Celestí Gusí. It was built to work as a parking for the Hotel Valira and the old school of Escaldes-Engordany, but some time later it was refurbished and transformed into the Valira Cinema, being the first cinema of Andorra.
Nowadays, the Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre forms a cultural space exhibiting and preserving two permanent collections. One of them is dedicated to the sculpture by Josep VIladomat; while the other one houses several Romanesque art scale models in Andorra. Also, the CAEE has a room for temporary exhibitions, with a very interesting cultural programme.
